This past fall, we set forth a definition of worship as our "ongoing holistic response, whether in word, deed, song, prayer, or service, to the wondrous acts of God manifested in the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ."
It is important to remember this holistic aspect of worship. We don't have to be singing to worship. We don't even need to be inside the church building to worship. Worship is a way of life, not simply isolated moments. However, the Bible encourages us to gather as followers of Jesus to celebrate what God is doing in our lives and throughout the world. And that is what we strive to do through our youth worship opportunities. Check out the two videos below that capture these themes particularly well.
Do you play an instrument or sing...or both? Maybe you'd like to participate in the Imago Dei band, which leads worship for our Sunday night gatherings. Practices are from 5:15pm-6:30pm (singers come at 5:15, rest of band at 5:45) before youth fellowship on the nights we have our youth worship service. Email Jon Frost @ jfrost@westminsterpc.org if you are interested.
Do you like to act? Maybe you'd like to participate in the drama team, which occasionally performs skits during youth worship.
Do you like taking pictures or video and editing them into creative projects? Maybe you'd like to put your skills to use by capturing on film the various things that go on during fellowship and worship. For both of these inquiries contact Greg Klimovitz at gklimovitz@westminsterpc.org.

Every first Sunday of the month, feel free to participate in an alternative and contemplative form of worship using chants from the Taize community. After youth fellowship, meet in the Chapel at 7:30 p.m.
The Taize community is sort of like a monastery in France that is home to around 80 men who have made lifelong vows to life in community. However, their hospitality has welcomed thousands of young people from all over the world for the last several decades. Their style of prayer has become widely recognized as an authentic and meaningful expression of worship. Through the simple melodies of the songs, the beauty of the words, and the depth of the silence, their prayer services have impacted countless numbers of people throughout the world.
You can find out much more about the Taize community here: http://www.taize.fr/.
